Voting is Still Open in our 2009 Dog Photo Competition

With nearly 1000 votes in this year's competition its turning into the biggest ever! But Voting is still open so please hurry if you're still planning to vote. The winning photo will get the lucky winner a FREE week at Helsbury Park and a photo shoot with our friends at Slobberchops. There's also a prize draw for everyone who votes for a £100 voucher to use against the price of a holiday with us here at Helsbury.

New Brochure for 2009

We've launched a new interactive brochure for 2009, it's an innovative approach as not only does it feature brand new content and imagery but it's also got embedded links to our web site. We're not planning to print it from now on so we can save a few trees and it also means we can keep it bang up to date as improvements are made on site. We've included some new information on the land as well as a cottage comparison page which gives you a detailed view of the features of the individual cottages to help you decide which one to choose.

We're Still on Schedule for the Pool Launch...

We're in the final 4 weeks of the project, there's still lots to do but we're nearly there! With the swimming pool itself all tiled and ready, we're about to plug in the solar panels and landscape the ground around the building itself. We're definitely in the home straight and it's still looking like a launch in early May. There's still things to do including the small matter of attaching the main water supply but we're very optimistic that we can bring the project in on time!

Green Tourism

Leza is currently beavering away on our award entry for the Green Tourism Business Scheme. It's a very detailed and thorough examination of our business with a top down approach to how we are minimising our impact on the environment and planning for the future. Businesses opting to join Green Tourism are assessed by a qualified grading advisor against a rigorous set of criteria, covering a range of areas, like energy and water efficiency, waste management, biodiversity and more. Those businesses that meet the required standard, receive a Bronze, Silver, or Gold award based on their level of achievement. We're pleased with our progress so far and we'll let you know how we get on next time.
