Helsbury Park awarded GOLD in Cornwall Tourism Awards
We're officially the best self-catering establishment in Cornwall...

We're thrilled to announce that we won the GOLD award at the 2008 Cornwall Tourism Awards for Self-Catering Establishment of the Year. The award ceremony was held at the Headland Hotel in Newquay and was attended by 300 of the sectors leading lights.

We were extremely surprised to pick up the award this year but we've achieved a lot over the past 12 months and the judges recognised that we're trying to do something innovative that's totally focussed on our customer's needs. We were complemented on our quality, our business strategy and commitment.

A unique view of the land here at Helsbury

We're always looking for ways to show you what makes Helsbury so special for our guests and this Summer we asked Lookaround Cornwall to come and try and capture the essence of the unique Helsbury offer.

It's easy to talk about 100 acres of pasture, river frontage and woods but it's a lot easier just to show you. We think the guys from Lookaround Cornwall have really done it justice, hope you agree, click the link below to see the results...

Barn owls on site...
This distinctive and much loved countryside bird has been on site for 2 weeks now

We've been very lucky with wildlife this year and even more so recently as we've had a pair of barn owls hunting on the land every evening. They're lovely and quite enchanting birds with a wonderful presence.

The barn owl has suffered decline over the past fifty years as a result of the degradation of once prey-rich habitats in the face of intensive agricultural practices. With the work we've done on our unique natural environment we're proud to have them with us.
