Just in case you didn’t know, the historic fishing village of Port Isaac, on the north Cornwall coast, played the part of Portwenn in Doc Martin. Port Isaac is one of the nearest places to Helsbury on the north coast and it provided the perfect backdrop for filming with spectacular seascapes and its traditional architecture. Many of the buildings in the village provided key locations for the show, and a lot of the exterior locations can be found on the moor locally to Helsbury.
