We've recently upgraded Broadview even further by adding new flooring throughout the whole property, slate in the kitchen, solid oak in the hall and living room, luxurious carpets in the bedrooms and tiles in a new wet room. All the doors to the rooms and cupboards have been replaced and we've also given it a new slate roof. It's looking absolutely stunning and we're pleased to annouce that it's been awarded 5 Stars by Quality in Tourism. We also asked Jackie Stanley, one of North Cornwall's leading estate agents, to take a look around and she said: "The property is beautifully presented and in a most appealing setting. In my opinion, Broadview is of exceptional quality and has been very stylishly converted." And of course it's still totally dog friendly.

If you're visiting Helsbury soon you'll see that we've installed poo bag dispensers on site. They contain branded bags for you to use on site, take with you on days out and take home and use. In fact we don't mind if you give them to all your friends as well, it's all good publicity for Helsbury after all! There are so many dog friendly places in North Cornwall but it's important to remember that it's still compulsory to pick up poo and dispose of it sensibly. The bags are totally free and we have plenty of them so don't be shy!

We've already started gathering and publishing entries for this year's competition, we've had 4 stunning submissions and they're all posted on our blog. It's the same rules as last year with a £50 discount voucher for all entries and a free week to the two winners, one in each category. Here's an example of one of the great shots, this is Rosa not happy about leaving Helsbury! All the entries so far are really superb with the dog's personalities really shining through. So if you've been to Helsbury already this year or are going remember to send us your images when you get back. We always looking forward to receiving them and hearing all the stories.

The Helsbury Park sponsored Cornwall Visitor Guide for Dog Owners is there to help you explore Cornwall's beaches, gardens and attractions with all the family including the four legged members. The guide also enables you to be prepared for the unexpected with day care kennels, vets and emergency contact information. It's going to be distributed throughout Cornwall and we've also got ourselves a decent stock of them to share with you, they'll be in our dog friendly cottages upon your arrival. We've got plenty so make sure you take one with you.
