We've already had a number of bookings for next year so if you're looking for a specific week we would urge you to check availability and get your booking form in soon. We had an unprecedented number of bookings at this time last year so we're expecting much the same this year. We've made a number of changes to our offer for next year which are worth noting: we've lifted the restrictions on the number of dogs in the barns however we'd still recommend that large parties use Broadview; the Farmhouse will not available for holidays next year; we've secured 5 stars for all properties on the back of the improvements we've made; and we've increased the couples discount to £200 for off-peak weeks. Haldon Forest is near Exeter, close to the end of the M5 and just off the A38 - the major route to Cornwall. The dog friendly park has a range of walking trails and a Canine Corner notice board with news and information for dog walkers. All you have to pay is the price of a parking ticket - £1 for four hours, or £2 for all day. Haldon Forest Park is open all year round, from 8.00am until 7.00pm in Summer and 8.30am until 5.00pm in Winter. They also have refreshments, toilets and a picnic area, there are plans for baby changing and a cafe too.

We've had some great new entries for the photography competition this year, they're all posted on the blog so well worth checking out. Just a quick reminder the closing date is the end of 2007, and the winners in each category each receive a free week at Helsbury, and there's a £50 discount voucher for each entry featured. We've launched three new image galleries on the Helsbury site, one for all our great dog shots, one with shots of the cottages and one of Cornish walks. Although the pages are in different sections of the site they all cross link to eachother so they're really easy to find.
