The Helsbury Park Nature Trail

Helsbury Park is a haven for wildlife, how many different species you see will vary depending on time of year, time of day, temperature and how quiet you are but you are bound to see something during your stay.

Included in our visitor information pack is a suggested walk around Helsbury Park and an idea of the kinds of creatures and plants you may see along the way. You can do all or part of the walk, once or many times.

From the bluebells with carpet the woods in May to the dragon flies on the pond throughout the summer, the wildlife is extremely varied. With the river Camel running through the land there are of course lots of fish as well as otters, dippers and kingfishers. Other Birdlife includes Buzzards, Jays, Goldcrests and may small British birds.
