Fern – a fine dining destination near Bodmin
Tucked away in a farmyard down a little back lane just outside of Bodmin is not where you expect to find one of the best restaurants in Cornwall but there sits Fern. It is a delightful surprise from the moment you pull up the drive. Occupying a stunning Eco building with lashings of wood and glass, Fern drips style without being overbearing. This vibe carries through to the warmly efficient and welcoming team and the modern, rustic styling.
The Menu
The food then continues knocking your socks off by offering humble, seasonal ingredients that have been elevated to sensational. Cooked with an innovative twist that adds a sense of exploration to the whole eating experience, this food is a genuine celebration of wonderful regional produce. I haven’t been this impressed in years. Fern manages to be truly new and exciting but relaxed and laid back at the same time. Close enough to the A30 that everyone is just passing at some level I suspect Fern is going to be very busy and deservedly so. Book soon!
