The New and Dramatically Improved, Hall For Cornwall
We LOVE a live performance, whether it’s a stand-up comedy, a play or a drag show, we are here for it and the Hall For Cornwall has it. The redevelopment of the Hall For Cornwall has gifted us a glamourous new theatre with sloped seating with an adjacent café and lavish bar.
Their Ethos
The Hall For Cornwall aims to share all kinds of art forms with the local community (and visitors). They believe in exhibiting all sorts of creativity and supporting artists who are demonstrating wonderful originality as well as giving a helping hand to the next generation of talented artists. They want to be able to share their love of entertainment with Cornwall and bring new and innovative ideas to the stage.
Their Redevelopment
The Hall For Cornwall was recently redeveloped. The Hall gained an extra 250 seats which is only the tip of the iceberg for how amazing this transformation has been. We recently visited the Hall For Cornwall to watch the wonderful “Pride and Prejudice (Sort Of)” Which was a funny and clever production of Austin’s “Pride and Prejudice”. Whilst this isn’t a production review piece, I have to comment on how fantastic the performance was as I believe it is a reflection of the theatre itself. It is a fantastic environment which stages incredible productions.
What’s On at the Hall For Cornwall
“The Mousetrap” will soon be gracing the Hall For Cornwall stage for its 70th anniversary tour. The play, written by Agatha Christie, is the world’s longest running play and it is coming to Cornwall! The first showing will be on the 9th of October and the last showing on the 14th of October. You can book tickets here!
“Noises Off” by Michael Frayn will be performed from the 26th to the 30th of September. It is coming direct from a sell-out West End season and is hilarious. Book here!
