Lichens are plants that you have definitely seen, but probably haven’t taken the time to appreciate. They have all sorts of hidden talents that we learnt about whilst writing this post and are excited to share with you!
Air Quality
Lichens are excellent indicators of air quality because they are highly sensitive to environmental changes. These unique organisms lack a protective outer layer, making them vulnerable to airborne pollutants like sulphur dioxide and heavy metals.
