Prime Minister Says Stay at Home

It has been very difficult for all of us in the last few days to decide what constitutes justified travel but this evening the Prime Minister has urged everybody to stay at home.  Our booking agent Cornish Cottage Holidays (CCH) and Sykes Holidays have today issued a message urging all customers with holidays booked before the end of April to move their bookings.

Along with everywhere else in the UK our pubs and restaurants closed on Friday, the National Trust has closed its properties, parks and coastal car parks.  Most privately owned tourist attractions are closed and Cornwall Council has also asked people to stay away from the beaches.  It is now not possible for you to have the quality of holiday you would normally expect.  Rather than be disappointed and possibly face a less than friendly welcome in the local community we ask anyone with a booking up to the end of April to please contact CCH and move your booking to a later date.  They will not charge you their usual fee for this.  They will also advise you about claiming on your insurance if you need to cancel altogether.

We look forward to welcoming you to Cornwall and Helsbury Park in happier times.  We will continue to post to Facebook to keep people up-to-date with developments and to try and lift your spirits.

Stay safe and please help us keep safe too.
