Places To Stop On Your Way To Helsbury
If you find yourself in Cornwall early, there are so many wonderful places you could visit before you get to Helsbury. Here are some of our favourites…
Lifton Strawberry Fields
Located on the Cornwall-Devon border, just off the A30, Lifton Strawberry Fields Farm Shop is a great place to stop on your way in or out of Cornwall, or to visit whilst you’re here. You could plan ahead to visit the fields and book to go strawberry picking, a great family experience to kick off your holiday! If you are looking to be more spontaneous, you could also drop in to the Farm Shop and pick up some fresh local produce or some delicious baked goods. Lifton Strawberry Fields even has a restaurant where you could book for breakfast, lunch or even an afternoon picnic!
Launceston Castle
Launceston Castle is a Norman castle in the former Cornish capital. It holds a rich history and the views from the top are spectacular. On a sunny day, grabbing a coffee and treat from Liberty Coffee and enjoying them in the castle grounds is so special. You could also support the small, local businesses around the town centre and experience the historic town. Cornwall’s natural environment makes it so special, but don’t underestimate the beautiful towns and their rich history.
Tre, Pol & Pen
Situated around 10 minutes outside of Launceston, Tre, Pol & Pen restaurant and farm shop is a great place to stop on your way to us. Their award winning farm shop is open every day of the week and you can pick up local products and grab a delicious homemade sweet treat! You could also book in to their restaurant for breakfast or lunch (keep in mind that dogs are not allowed inside the farm shop or restaurant, but can be outside).
There is so much you could do on your way to Helsbury and if you want to kick off your holiday as soon as possible, consider visiting some of these gems.
